I Saw God Today......

A couple of days ago my oldest son Tucker asked me some really deep questions.....Let me first give you some history on my oldest....He is 7, he is a typical first born boy, very strong willed, challenges everything I say but has the sweetest heart....we started homeschooling him (and his 5 y/o brother) this year and it has been the very best decision we have ever made. I think I missed so much of him while he was at school. I missed seeing him learn, seeing him grow, as well as seeing him struggle...homeschooling for us has been amazing adventure and I can only see it getting better and better. But enough of my love for homeschooling.

Tucker asks all important question that I think we all want to know the answers to....
Tucker: Momma, if God new that Adam and Eve were going to eat that apple...why did he let them? Does God like snakes? Because I like snakes and I want one. Momma, do we still see God like Adam and Eve did? I mean is he here walking with us and talking with us for real?
Me: Well Tucker....I think we see God differently than Adam and Eve did. I think we see him in sunrises or sunsets, in miracles. I think when mommies love there babies we can see God. I think when we look outside and see all of God's beauty we see God. God is here, know that for sure. You can talk to him whenever you want and if you grow and learn and listen you will hear Him better and better all the time. Oh and yes God likes snakes but NO we cannot have a snake!!!!

Well needless to say, I think my little boy, has more of a grasp on "Getting it" than I ever have....just the fact that he asks the questions and is thinking these things. It amazes me when he gets to thinking and is asking me questions....to think I could have been missing out on this.
I think this is God's way of showing me Himself. I SAW GOD TODAY!

So throughout this post I have placed pictures of my yard, my kids, my home......I hope you enjoy and I hope you see God today in your own lives.

New Camera Search - Not too pricey!

This is going to be a short and sweet post but I am in search of a new camera and I know most of you take some GREAT pictures...(Mandy). I am looking for a camera but don't want to spend a fortune. I mean I would love to spend a fortune if I had one to spend but I don't so I will just say that I don't want to spend a fortune and that way it doesn't sound so bad. I would love a nice digital camera that takes good pictures and if any of you have any suggestions I would be so greatful. Thank you in advance for the info. Have a blessed day.
Oh and one more thing....I am going to be more faithful to my blog so look for things to pick up.
Take care - Lisa

Birthdays....Birthdays....Birthdays!

Yesterday was my oldest son "TJ's" Birthday....he turned 7.....OH my goodness, S-E-V-E-N! It seems like yesterday he was born.....but not really.....with my over 24 hours of labor and then emergency C-section......yesterday was a much better day than it was 7 years ago.....I do have the most wonderful sweetest little boy to show for it and that makes it ALL worth it. He was the start of our family and the perfect child for his role of "First Born". I love him with all my heart. I am so blessed and everyday I thank God for him(and is brother and sister). He is one of a kind with a special twinkle in his eye! I love you son and you are my diamond in the rough! Being your mom is so challanging and yet so rewarding all at the same time! Thank you for being my son. You are so special! Happy Birthday!

Now tomorrow is my best friend's birthday aka my hubby.....we have been together for 11 years....he knows me better than I know myself and I am so so so lucky to be called Mrs. Jones. I never would have thought that I could love him more than I did on the day we married but it is so true.....I am a blessed woman! This is my fairy tale.....I am Cinarella and he is my Prince Charming. I tell him and my children all the time that God must love their mamma more than anyone else in the world to give her such a special wonderful family like she has.....I am so blessed to be called mamma and wife. I love you baby. Thank you for making me your wife and blessing me with our family. You are such a special man and I am only humbled by your love and devotion to us. Happy Birthday!

What kids say....

Well I just wanted to take a quick minute and write this down or else I will never remember and this is the reason I wanted to do a blog in the first place. To remember the little things that my kids do from day to day.....I thought it was the cutest thing. My middle child, we will call him Cody...he has the sweetest spirit...just like his daddy. We often say that our oldest child is like me, which is not ALL bad...and the middle is just like his daddy....and our daughter...well the jury is still out she is only 2 1/2 but I would have to say she is more like me...which could be a good thing. This is the boy who has asked me many times if I would marry him....Oh how he pulls at my heart strings.

Anyway the other day while homeschooling we were doing our morning Bible and we always pray as a family (the kids and I). I ask them if they have any prayer requests and they tell me...then we all take our turns at praying. Cody starts praying and he says "Dear Jesus I want to pray for all the people in the whole world and the people in other worlds like Disney World." It was all I could do to not bust out laughing but I just thought that was the sweetest thing....our children have such a way of understanding things. The Bible says: Come unto me like little children. I have to remember this and not be too "religious" in my ways...Just love Jesus. Here is a picture of my sweet handsome son....

A day in the life....welcome;

Well I am finally doing this. Hello bloggy world. This blog is just really me trying to keep a diary of the happenings of our crazy lives. Things are always an adventure here. For example....This is my 2 1/2 yr old daughter Annie who loves to get into things....this is just after she got into my "Shower to Shower" powder.

This is her daddy vacuuming her off:

This kind of thing happens everyday at our house...sometimes more than once...I know if she is quiet somewhere or I don't know where she is it is usually bad news....something is up.

This is our family of 5:

Just an ordinary family. Well that is it for my first post I just wanted to introduce us and let you see a little glimpse of what our lives are like with 3 active and I do mean active children. I can't wait to get this blog going and keeping up with how our everyday lives will go.
